His Eminence, Eze Dr M O Enweremadu, Eze Ukwu ll of Ngwa Ukwu, Ukwu the 14th and Traditional Head of Ngwaland commends and celebrate our worthy daughter Honorable Justice Chidiebere Nwaoma Uwa, for such a high reputable feat in the Nigerian Judiciary on her swearing in as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, by the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Indeed, It’s not to be compromised of every respect, she has earned this honor. Her academic credentials, her judicial experience and her legal acumen prove that she is eminently qualified for this position, Eze Ukwu expressed proudness over such a National honor brought to our land and responsibility at the topmost Court in Nigeria.

In the same vein, I also congratulate Justice Uwa who has made us proud and landmark history as the very first woman from Ukwa Ngwa to sit on the Bench of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Therefore, it is my sincere prayer and desire that this appointment will go a long way in improving the profession and welfare of our people which I bestow upon this honor the blessings that comes with it.

Finally, On behalf of the ukwu dynasty and as the traditional head of Ngwaland, Eze Ukwu reiterated that he is confident that our daughter will maintain the principles of this respected profession and of which climb more enviable heights of the Nigerian Judiciary.

The Federal Government has announced the indefinite suspension of the N-Power program. Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, made the announcement while featuring on a TVC news program on Saturday. She said the decision was birthed by some irregularities within the scheme, noting that the government has launched investigation into the utilization of funds since the program began. The Minister claimed that some of the beneficiaries are not found in their place of assignments yet they expect monthly stipends.
