IKPEAZU ATTENDS THE SYNOD OF THE ABA ANGLICAN DIOCESE AND CHARGES THE CHURCH TO LEAD THE QUEST FOR SPIRITUAL REBIRTH IN ABIA STATE

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called on the church to lead out in the quest to give Abia a new spiritual birth and prosperity.  Governor Ikpeazu gave this charge this while speaking at the  2nd Session of the 17th Synod of Anglican Diocese of Aba held at the St. Phillip's Church, Eziukwu Aba with the theme "Occupy Until I Come". He said that Abia State is in dire need of spiritual rebirth  which can only be achieved through prayers and a shift from idolatry. According to him, the theme of the synod is apt as it is a call to duty and responsibility for everyone.  Dr. Ikpeazu recalled how bad roads in Aba such as Eziukwu, Osusu, Omuma and others were before he came on board in 2015 and expressed joy that he has fixed most of those roads including constructing the first ever interchange in Osisioma while assuring that other ongoing projects would be completed before he leaves office in 2023.  The Governor who commended  the Anglican Bishop of Aba, The Rt. FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNOR CHIEF ACHO NWAKANMA BLOWS BACK AT MAX NDUAGUIBE SAYS HE IS DISORIENTED AND CONFUSED.

I have read with dismay, disappointment and a sense of déjà vu, a public statement signed by Dr. Max Nduaguibe, Chairman of Ukwa La Ngwa Council of Elders claiming that the Ukwa La Ngwa Elders have not endorsed any candidate for the 2023 gubernatorial elections in Abia. There is no doubt that before now, Dr. Nduaguibe had shown a preference for one of the gubernatorial candidates in the state, and had on various occasions voiced partiality and showed favouritism towards the candidature of Engineer Enyinnaya Nwafor. Without prejudice to his inalienable rights to harbour in his heart some fondness for Engineer Nwafor, Dr Nduaguibe should have maintained, for all intents and purposes, a neutral position in as much he presides over the affairs of the multi-dimensional Council until such a time the whole Council would have agreed on which candidate to support; if need be.  Dr Nduaguibe shot himself in the foot when he claimed that Ukwa La Ngwa Elders Council is advisory and cannot endorse a
